Welshpool (14 miles) Best Leisure centre in area, Canal cruises, Powis Castle (NT) - expensive, but very good. Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway runs here.
Bishops Castle (8 miles), small market town. Community Swimming Pool hire £40.00 per hour (01588) 638871. Best Indian Restaurant in area (small).
Offa’s Dyke footpath (1 mile), Kerry Ridgeway (0.5 mile) and many other walks all in easy reach.
Church Stretton - classy English town in area of outstanding natural beauty, drive over the Long Mynd (unsuitable for coach) and see the gliders in action.

Coastal attractions

Borth - Beach beside small town toilets etc. within easy reach. (1.1/4 hrs.)
Ynyslas - Beach with dunes and wildlife study centre - very sandy.(1.1/4 hrs.)
Tywyn - Sandy beach beside all attractions, small fun-fair, gift shops etc. (1.1/2 hrs)
Barmouth - As Tywyn but without fun-fair. (1.1/2 hrs.)
Aberystwyth - Largest town in Mid. Wales - beach, Camera Obscura, Cliff Railway, shops, swimming pool if weather wet. (1.1/4 hrs.)
